Telehealth Counseling Options and FAQs

Q: Is Telehealth available at River Ridge Counseling Offices?
A: Telehealth Counseling is available with each of the counselors located at River Ridge Counseling.

Q: What type of counseling can be done via Telehealth?
A: The vast majority of counseling situations can be addressed through telehealth.  There are some instances where in-person is more appropriate.  Discuss your situation with your counselor.

Q: What about for teens and kids?
A: Typically we find that teenagers are more comfortable than most adults.  Teens have been raised in a digital age, and are usually familiar with digital platforms.  For children each counselor will assess the situation and work with the child and parents for an effective solution.  For example, some therapists are doing Telehealth appointments with kids, but doing a shorter, 30 minute session.

Q: What equipment do I need?
A: The three things required are 1) your digital device, 2) an internet connection, and 3) some privacy.  You can meet with your counselor in the comfort of your home or other location of your choice.
